I mainly shoot outdoors and use available light. With babies 6 months and under, I usually work in your home.
Location shoots are best done about 1.5 hours before the sun goes down, depending on how much shade there is.
Home shoots are best done in the first 3 hours of daylight or the last 3 hours of daylight. When the sun is high there is not much light shining into a home!
I do not limit my time - I take what time we need to get the best photos of your family.
The more you think about what types of photos you would like, the more fun we will have during your shoot. Take some time to look at magazines and other photographer websites and send me your ideas. I love to help shop for the right clothes - it's amazing how much the perfect outfits (not too matchy matchy) and fun props can help make the photos all come together. Fun blankets, umbrellas, favorite toys, meaningful mementos, etc are all important to make a photo really have some wow! Let me know what your thoughts are and we'll come up with something really great.
Location, location, location!
Actually - we can make any location work - even a dingy backyard! But in San Diego and South Orange County we have so much to choose from. Beach, park, mountain, prairie - you name it and we can find something to work. I'm always up for an adventure!
